China’s crude steel output in Jan-Feb rises by 25.4 percent

In February this year, China's crude steel output was 50.357 million mt, increasing by 9.244 million mt or 22.5 percent year on year, while average daily output was 1.7985 million mt, up by 103.800 mt or 6.12 percent compared with January. The total output in the January-February period was 102.892 million mt, up 20.839 million mt or 25.4 percent year on year.

In February China's total exports of crude steel amounted to 4.94 percent of the overall output, while exports in the first two months came to 5.22 percent of the output for the months in question.

Pig iron output in February reached 47.501 million mt, up 6.973 million mt or 17.2 percent year on year, while total output in the first two months of the year reached  97.234 million mt, up 17.731 million mt or 22.3 percent year on year.

The finished steel output in February reached 55.592 million mt, up 8.517 million mt or 18.1 percent, while total output in January and February combined reached 117.357 million mt, up 25.434 million mt or 27.7 percent year on year.
