The Chilean finance ministry has imposed a definite, ad-valorem anti-dumping (AD) duty against imports of steel grinding balls from China. The ministry said Chinese imports of the product, which fall under the Chilean HS code 7326.1110, will pay a 5.6 percent AD levy.

The Chilean government said the duties apply to Chinese imports of steel grinding balls with a diameter smaller than 4 inches, produced by Goldpro New Materials Co Ltd.

According to a notice published at the nation’s official gazette, the duties follow an AD investigation by the local price distortion commission (CNDP). After completing the investigation, CNDP recommendation the imposition of AD duties.
