Changcheng Special Steel holds hot test for precision forging machine

Sichuan-based Chinese steelmaker Pangang Group has announced that its Jiangyou, Sichuan-based subsidiary Changcheng Special Steel Co. has carried out a hot trial test on its news precision forging machine, which was built within the scope of the company's reconstruction project following the massive earthquake which hit Sichuan Province in May 2008.

Work started on the company's post-earthquake reconstruction project on September 28, 2009. After commissioning of the project, Changcheng Special Steel will be able to produce 700,000 mt of crude steel, 790,000 mt of finished steel and 10,000 mt of titanium alloy products per year.
