Carpenter Technology increases stainless steel prices

Carpenter Technology has recently announced that its unit Specialty Alloys Operation will increase prices of all grades of stainless steel and high temperature alloy bar products by 10% effective for new orders and shipments as of October 1, 2004. It is stated that the prices have been increased due to high demand for the subject products and the rise in costs. No change in the existing surcharges has been announced.
