Carpenter Technology increases its prices

According to the recent news in the market, Specialty Alloys Operations unit of Carpenter Technology Corp is planning to increase its base prices by 3-5%. The price increase will be effected on stainless steel, specialty alloy billet, coil and bar products. Moreover, prices of stainless rod products will be increased by 5-7%. The price increases will be in effect for the orders as of March 15, 2004. It is also reported that, depending on the costs and the condition of the market, a further hike in the prices may be effected.
