The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has recently announced its affirmative preliminary injury determination regarding the alleged dumping (AD) and subsidizing (CVD) of metal bar grating of carbon, alloy or stainless steel, consisting of load-bearing pieces and cross pieces, produced as standard grating or heavy-duty grating, in panel form, whether galvanized, painted, coated, clad or plated, originating in or exported from China.

This preliminary injury inquiry follows the notification, on September 20, 2010, that the Canada Border Services Agency had initiated investigations into the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of the abovementioned goods.

The tribunal has preliminarily determined that there is evidence that discloses a reasonable indication that the dumping and subsidizing of the abovementioned goods have caused injury.

The goods in question are usually classified under the following Harmonized System classification numbers: 7308.90.90.10, 7308.90.90.20, 7308.90.90.30, 7308.90.90.40, 7308.90.90.50, 7308.90.90.60, 7308.90.90.91, 7308.90.90.92, 7308.90.90.93, 7308.90.90.94, 7308.90.90.95, 7308.90.90.96 and 7308.90.90.99.
