CAAM: China’s auto output rises by 2.6 percent in H1

In June this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 1.8508 million units and 1.8031 million units, down 5.8 percent and 5.3 percent month on month, while decreasing by 0.2 percent and 2.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In the first six months of the current year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 12.0950 million units and 11.8503 million units, up 2.6 percent and rising by 1.4 percent year on year, respectively, with these growth rates both down about seven percentage points compared to the first six months of 2014.
