CAAM: China’s auto output down 11.8 percent in July

In July this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 1.5180 million units and 1.5030 million units, down 18 percent and 16.6 percent month on month, while decreasing by 11.8 percent and 7.1 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on August 11.

In the first seven months of the current year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China totaled 13.6127 million units and 13.3533 million units, up 0.8 percent and rising by 0.4 percent year on year, respectively, with these growth rates down 8.7 percentage points and decreasing by 7.8 percentage points compared to the first seven months of 2014.
