CAAM: China’s auto sales volume down 1.75 percent in Sept

In September this year, the total automotive vehicle sales volume in China, the third largest auto market in the world, decreased by 1.75 percent year on year to 1.62 million units, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
 
In particular, in the given month China’s passenger car sales volume amounted to 1.32 million units, indicating a month-on-month increase of 7.93 percent but slightly down 0.3 percent compared to September last year.
 
In the January-September period of this year, total automotive vehicle sales in China reached 14.09 million units, up 3.37 percent compared to the same period last year, including 11.27 million passenger cars, up 6.94 percent year on year.
