Benxi Steel posts record output results for H1

Although hampered by factors such as capital shortage and severe weather conditions, in the first half of 2009 Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Steel recorded its highest historical first half production results. In the period in question, Benxi Steel produced 3.2 million mt of iron ore, 2.08 million mt of coke, 4.56 million mt of pig iron, 4.46 million mt of crude steel, 4.165 million mt of HRC, and 1.423 million mt of CRC.
