In the first half of the current year, Baogang Group Waibu Sales Company, a sales-focused subsidiary of Inner Mongolia autonomous region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group), sold 1.9741 million mt of billets, up 386,400 mt year on year.
The billet sales volume was equivalent to 52 percent of Baogang Group Waibu Sales Co.'s sales target for the full year and accounted for 43.6 percent of the total billet sales volume of Baogang Group in the first half of the year.
