Baogang’s rail and beam plant produces 80,552 mt in July

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) has announced that in July this year its rail and beam plant produced 80,552 mt of finished steel products, with steel rails accounting for 70,686 mt of this output volume.

In addition, Baogang stated that in the first seven months of the year the company's steel sales outside of the Inner Mongolia region amounted to 2,296,600 mt, up 395,700 mt or 20.82 percent year on year despite the sluggish steel market conditions. The steel producer's sales volume outside of the Inner Mongolia region in the given period accounted for 43 percent of its overall steel sales.
