Argentine’s crude steel output up

Argentine's steel industries center CIS reported that the country's crude steel production rose 5 percent year on year to 4.9 million tons in the first eleven months of 2005. The increase is attributed to the sustained domestic demand for steel products, especially in the automotive and construction industries. In November alone, crude steel production rose 0.1 percent year on year to 466,000 tons. The crude steel production was 465,700 tons in the same period of 2004.
