Argentine industry gains in April

Industrial production in Argentina experienced a 10 percent year-on-year increase for the month of April.  This increase exceeds the previously forecasted 2 percent year-on-year uptick for Argentine industrial activity.   Overall production for the month of March was also up, noting a 1.5 percent increase.

Economists further forecast that Argentine manufacturing for fiscal year 2010 will increase 6 to 8 percent.
