Argentina’s auto output decreases 2.2 percent in September from August

Argentina’s auto production output in September this year totaled 42,599 units, falling by 2.2 percent month on month and down 19.6 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.
 
According to Adefa, in September Argentinian auto exports increased by 7.1 percent compared to the previous month and were down by 19.2 percent compared to September 2015 to 17,658 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in September totaled 67,816, increasing by 12.2 percent year on year and growing by six percent month on month.
 
The nation’s automotive industry produced 347,895 units in the January-September period of the current year, 14 percent less than in the same period of the previous year. Likewise, exports also declined in the first nine months of this year to 135,716 units, down 29.2 percent year on year.
