Argentina's auto output down 48.4 percent in January-May

In May this year, Argentina's auto production (including commercial vehicles) was down 84.1 percent year on year, amounting to 4,802 units, according to the report released by the country's auto association (ADEFA). Meanwhile, in the first five months of this year, Argentina's auto production totaled 70,782 units, down 48.4 percent compared with the same period of the previous year.

In May, Argentina's auto exports totaled 3,227 units, up 35.2 percent month on month and decreasing by 85.2 percent year on year. In the January-May period of this year, the country's auto exports fell by 48.7 percent year on year to 46,347 units.
