Arcelor inaugurates SS plant in Czech Republic

Luxembourg-based steel producer Arcelor announced yesterday that it had inaugurated a stainless steel tube plant at its Matthey sro subsidiary located in Usti nad Labem, north of Prague. The €15 million plant, which is designed to serve the automotive exhaust market, was completed in 11 months. The plant will employ 100 workers. The project is part of Acelor's plan to develop new markets in Eastern Europe.
