Ansteel sees sharp decline in net profit in H1

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Co. (Ansteel) has issued its financial report for the first half of the current year. Accordingly, in the given period the producer recorded an operating revenue of RMB 28.992 billion ($4.53 billion), down 24.06 percent year on year, with a net profit of RMB 155 million ($24.22 million), decreasing by 73.14 percent year on year.

In the first half of the year, Ansteel produced 10.95 million mt of pig iron, 10.75 million mt of crude steel and 9.78 million mt of finished steel, decreasing by 0.35 percent, 0.91 percent and 3.75 percent year on year, respectively.
