AK Steel to ask EU to reconsider CR stainless duties

AK Steel officials have recently announced that, they will ask EU to reconsider its decision of imposing provisional anti-dumping duties on certain cold rolled steel products imported from US, including AK Steel. The officials of the company state that, out of annual shipments, exports constitute less than 3% and only a portion of it will be exposed to provisional duties of EU. However, they also add that, they are determined to ask EU to reconsider the duties. The officials believe that their imports to the Union are not violating the anti-dumping laws. The cold-rolled products, which are determined to be exposed to duties are used in heat exchangers, tubing and car exhaust systems. The duties that are going to be applied on the imports of abovementioned product from AK Steel is determined as 20.6%, while for the imports from other manufacturers, this margin is 25%.
