Acheng Steel commissions its 1,080 cubic meter blast furnace

Heilongjiang Province-based Chinese steelmaker Acheng Iron and Steel Co. (Acheng Steel), a subsidiary of Xilin Iron and Steel Co., has announced the commissioning of its 1,080 cubic meter blast furnace.

Construction work on the new blast furnace, located in the district of Acheng in the city of Haerbin, was carried out by China Third Metallurgical Group Corporation, a subsidiary of state-owned enterprise China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). Structural steel consumption of the project reached 120,000 mt.

Designed maximum daily output capacity of the new blast furnace is about 3,000 mt, while its current daily output exceeds 2,000 mt.
