Brazil imposes AD duty on NGO electrical steel imports from three countries

The Brazilian industry and foreign trade ministry's commerce chamber, Camex, has announced that it has decided to impose an antidumping (AD) duty on non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel imports from South Korea, Taiwan and China for five years.
 
According to Camex's statement, the antidumping duty rates range between $132.50 and $567.16 per metric ton of the product in question. The antidumping duty investigation was initiated in April 2012 following the finding that imports of the products in question have caused material injury to the domestic industry.
 
The products subject to the antidumping duty are classified under Harmonized System Code Numbers 7225.19.00 and 7226.19.00.
