Raspadskaya registers net loss in H1

Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced its consolidated IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) financial results for the first half of 2012.

Accordingly, Raspadskaya posted a net loss of $19 million in the given period, compared to a net profit of $99 million in the same period of the previous year. The sales revenues of the company decreased by 24 percent year on year to $285 million. In the first six months of 2012, Raspadskaya's adjusted EBITDA totaled $99 million, indicating a decrease of 46 percent year on year.
