US line pipe market prices see some fluctuation

Prices for US import API-X52 ERW line pipe from Mexico in the US domestic market have revised upward since our last report a week ago, when prices were being heard at $47.50-$49.50 cwt. ($1047-$1091/mt or $950-$990/nt), FOB Houston.
 
Today, SteelOrbis sources say the most commonly heard price is trending at $49.50-$51.50 cwt. ($1091-$1135/mt or $990-$1030/nt), FOB Houston.  This brings ex-Mexico prices closer to US domestic prices for API-X52, which continue to trend at $56-$58 cwt. ($1235-$1279/mt or $1120-$1160/nt), ex-mill.
 
Lastly, sources have confirmed that pricing for Korean API X-52 line pipe in the US domestic market has held lateral and continues to be heard at $42.50-$44.00 cwt. ($937-$970/mt or $850-$880/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.
