The most commonly reported spot market price transaction range for US domestic Grade A ERW BPE standard pipe continues to hold steady, at approximately $39.50-$40.50 cwt. ($871-$893/mt or $790-$810/nt), ex-Midwest mill, and sources close to SteelOrbis have confirmed that “deep deals” below this range “seem to have simmered out,” one source said.  In some cases, others note, deals approximately $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt) below this range may be available to certain customers based on the size and scope of the order.

In terms of offshore pricing, sources close to SteelOrbis have confirmed that current futures offers for Grade A ERW BPE standard pipe from Turkey and Korea are trending in the approximate range of $600-$620/mt DDP loaded truck in US Gulf cost ports.

April 26 data from the US Department of Commerce, Enforcement and Compliance indicates that for the month of March, US import standard pipe tonnages from Korea and Turkey were recorded at 5,832 mt and 153.5 mt, (preliminary census data) respectively.  It’s should be noted, however, that current license data shows April standard pipe import tonnages from Korea and Turkey have been recorded at 3,961 mt and 6,205 mt, respectively.
