Transaction activity for imported seamless pipes in the Turkish market has been quiet over the past month and import seamless pipe prices have mostly indicated a soft trend. Quotations of Romanian pipes have moved down by around $35-40/mt during the past month, while Chinese seamless pipe offers have decreased by a maximum of $20/mt. Import offers of seamless pipes from Ukraine have lost $20-30/mt, while offers of Russian material have remained stable over the past month. Market sources report that demand shows no progress in the Turkish seamless pipe market and transaction activity is slack, while buyers prefer to conclude deals just to meet their immediate needs and are anxious to avoid high stock levels.
Chinese suppliers are offering seamless pipes of 2"-12" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to the Turkish market in the price range of $610-650/mt CFR.
Ukrainian producers' offers for 60-273 mm seamless pipes of grade 10, 20 as per GOST are being given to the Turkish market at about $750-800/mt CFR, while 2"-10" pipes as per ASTM/API are quoted at around $780-820/mt CFR.
Russian producer ChTPZ Group (Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works) is offering 2"-6" seamless hot-formed pipes of grade B made to ASTM at about $820-840/mt CFR Turkey.
Import offers of seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal), 3"-10" of grade B made to ASTM A106 or API 5L, are being given to the Turkish market at around $1,030-1,065/mt CPT.
