The Romanian seamless
pipe market has witnessed some upward movements over the past month amid higher input costs and improving foreign market sentiment. Seamless
pipe prices in
Romania have gone up by around €10-20/mt ($33-46/mt) over the past month, while import offers of Czech material have increased by €10-20/mt ($25-39/mt) during the same period. Meanwhile, transactions in the domestic market remain scarce. However, market players believe the Romanian seamless
pipe sector may continue to recover slowly amid modest growth in
Romania's automobile and construction industries.
Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €900-920/mt ($1,251-1,279/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.
Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €920-950/mt ($1,279-1,321/mt) FCA, while 16" pipes are at levels of €990-1,075/mt ($1,377-1,495/mt) FCA.
Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €930-970/mt ($1,293-1,348/mt) CPT.
