Trading activity in the local Turkish welded pipe market has been slack this week due to the forthcoming Feast of Sacrifice holiday. Demand has showed no recovery in the given period and has remained at low levels, since buyers have continued to make bookings only to meet their immediate needs. Meanwhile, in line with the uptrend of domestic prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) - used as feedstock in steel pipe production - over the past two weeks, Turkish welded pipe producers tried to test the market with a view to increasing their prices, but were unsuccessful and so have kept their prices unchanged.

Accordingly, Turkish producers’ offers for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the domestic market are still in the range of $480-510/mt ex-works, remaining unchanged week on week.

Meanwhile, Turkish producers’ welded pipe export offers for the abovementioned grade have remained stable week on week to $480-520/mt FOB, following the increases seen last week
