Demand in the Romania seamless pipe market has remained depressed amid the seasonal decline in pipe consumption. Prices for commodity-grade seamless pipes in Romania have remained unchanged in the past month against the backdrop of a lack of activity in the domestic and export markets. The market fundamentals are expected to remain weak in the short term amid insufficient demand from consuming industries and the approach of Christmas and the New Year holidays.

Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €880-900/mt ($1,082-1,107/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.

Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €900-920/mt ($1,107-1,132/mt) FCA, while 12"-14" pipes are at levels of €920-970/mt ($1,132-1,193/mt) FCA.

Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €880-900/mt ($1,085-1,110/mt) CPT.
