Purchases in the local Turkish welded pipe market are still limited in line with needs due the ongoing depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Meanwhile, Turkish steel producers, who had not passed on the rises in global raw material and HRC prices recorded over the previous months to their customers, have increased their welded pipe offers further.

During the past week, Turkish producers' offers for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the domestic market have increased by $20/mt to $540-580/mt ex-works.

On the other hand, purchases of Turkish producers' welded pipes in Europe have continued over the past week. In the same period, Turkish producers have increased their welded pipe export prices by $20/mt to $540-570/mt FOB.
