Prices for locally produced material have declined by €10-20/mt ($11-21/mt) over the past month amid limited trading and tight competition from imported material, while their dollar equivalent has decreased by $29-51/mt due to the weaker euro. Import prices of Chinese seamless pipes for Spain have decreased by €20-25/mt ($21-27/mt) in the past month, while offers of Italian seamless pipes have gone down by €10-20/mt ($11-21/mt). However, market conditions are characterized by uncertainty and demand for seamless pipes in the domestic and international markets will remain weak amid seasonal factors. It is likely that prices for locally produced seamless pipes will stay soft under pressure from cheap imported material and lack of demand in the market.
Current Spanish domestic prices for 2"-4" hot-formed seamless pipes, grade B made to ASTM A106, are at around €970-1,000/mt ($1,058-1,091/mt) ex-works.
Current export prices of Spanish seamless pipes, 2"-4" grade B according to ASTM A106, are varying at around €1,000-1,035/mt ($1,091-1,129/mt) FOB.
Prices for Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are at about €600-645/mt ($655-704/mt) CFR Spain, exclusive of antidumping duties.
Offers of Ukrainian seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B according to API 5L, are being given to Spain at €800-830/mt ($873-906/mt) CPT. Prices are shown exclusive of antidumping duty.
Quotations of Italian seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, to Spain are at €1,030-1,090/mt ($1,124-1,189/mt) CPT.
