The local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly moved up during the past week.

Chinese seamless pipe prices have moved sideways or up slightly during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been weak due to the off-season. Upstream billet prices and other raw material prices have increased, providing support for seamless pipe prices. As for the week ahead, amid weak demand and support from costs, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may fluctuate slightly.

Welded pipe prices have followed a rebounding trend during the past week. Overall trading activity is low due to the off-season. Prices of steel strip have risen, cause welded pipe prices to follow. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may indicate small fluctuations.
