Local Chinese steel pipe prices have continued to move down during the past seven days.

Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have continued their downward trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak, causing most traders to reduce their quoted prices. Upstream billet prices have also showed a weak trend. As for the week ahead, since demand may remain slack, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may continue to move down.

Upstream steel strip prices have indicated a decreasing trend in the past week, and so most welded pipe prices have followed suit. Production volumes have declined lately since profits are low. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may continue to move on a soft trend.
