Spot prices within the US domestic Grade A electric residence weld (ERW) black plain end (BPE) standard pipe markets continue to trend “wishy washy”; although the most commonly reported range continues to hold at approximately $45.00-$47.00 cwt. ($705-$1,014/mt or $900-$920/nt) ex-Midwest mill, SteelOrbis sources continue to report that falling scrap prices and ever-flexible US hot rolled coil pricing continues to be a concern, and that anyone who is looking to place a larger-sized order for Grade A ERW BPE standard pipe will have the upper hand in negotiations.

Turkish futures offers, previously $35.00-$36.00 cwt. ($772-$794/mt or $700-$720/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf Coast ports also continue to hold sideways, yet despite the attractive price point, other SteelOrbis sources say that everyone is being cautious with their buys; inventory levels are still relatively healthy and thus, buyers are booking only what they need.
