The welded pipe market in Poland is gradually starting to show signs of a recovery of activity after the end of winter. However, Polish producers are in no hurry to increase their offers seeing still sluggish buying activity in the domestic market. Domestic prices of Polish welded pipes have remained unchanged over the past month, with just the upper end of prices increasing by €5-10/mt (down $6-11/mt) during the period in question. Import offers of Italian welded pipes have increased by a maximum of €10/mt (down $11/mt) over the period under review, while prices for Bulgarian welded pipes have declined by €10/mt ($11/mt). Market players hope that the recent firming of welded pipe prices in Poland will be sustained and will pave the way for further small price increases in the coming period together with an anticipated recovery of consumer activity in the country.
