The seamless pipe market in Iran has been quiet over the past month, with import quotations of seamless pipes continuing to weaken. Import offers of Chinese seamless pipes have decreased by $10/mt over the past month, quotations of Russian seamless pipes have moved down by $5-10/mt, while Ukrainian offers have declined by $65-75/mt over the same period. Iranian seamless pipe producer INSIG has maintained its prices at the previous levels, while Iranian traders have been deciding their prices depending on real demand in the market. Buyers are following a waiting policy and believe that prices will decrease further due to the approach of Ramadan.

Current domestic prices of Iranian production seamless pipes 1"-4" grade B made to API 5L are at $1,000-1,050/mt ex-works, depending on diameter and wall thickness. The prices exclude three percent VAT. Iranian production 1"-4" seamless pipes of grade Х52 made to API 5L are currently offered to the domestic market at on average $1,100-1,150/mt ex-works.

Local stockists' prices for domestic production seamless pipes of 1"-3" are at about $1,260-1,480/mt ex-warehouse, compared with $1,260-1,440/mt ex-warehouse one month ago.

Import offers of Chinese seamless pipes 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given to the local Iranian market at $840-890/mt C&F Bandar Abbas.

Russian pipes of up to 8" grade B as per ASTM A106/API 5L from Volzhsky PP are being offered to northern Iranian ports at about $975-1,020/mt C&F Anzali, compared with $980-1,030/mt one month ago.

Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes of 2"-14" size grade B as per ASTM A106/API 5L are at $925-985/mt C&F Bandar Abbas.
