Overseas demand for
CIS seamless pipes has not improved much over the past month amid the holiday period in key sales outlets. Meanwhile, despite limited activity from foreign buyers, Russian and Ukrainian seamless
pipe suppliers have adjusted their export offers upwards on the back of higher production costs and optimism regarding future market developments. Over the past month, Ukrainian seamless
pipe exporters have increased their offers by $10-50/mt, while export offers from Russian suppliers have risen by $20-50/mt. Foreign demand for standard seamless pipes remains rather weak to be able to support any price increase due to poor demand from end-users. However, market players are more hopeful for an increase in purchasing activity in September and in the early fourth quarter due to seasonally higher business activity in autumn.
Export prices from Ukrainian mill Interpipe for 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106 are quoted at around $950-990/mt FOB for the Middle Eastern market, while pipes as per EN are offered at about $900-930/mt ex-works for the European market.

Russia-based ChTPZ Group's export quotations for hot-formed pipes with diameter of 60.3-219 mm of 10, 20 steel grades according to GOST 8731/8732 or ASTM A106 are at $850-900/mt FOB.
Seamless pipes with 57-219 mm diameter of 10, 20 steel grades as per GOST 8731/8732 from Volzhsky
