Demand in the seamless pipe market in Saudi Arabia has slowed down over the past month ahead of Ramadan, which runs throughout July. During the past month, offers of Chinese seamless pipes to Saudi Arabia have declined by about $30-40/mt, while Ukrainian suppliers have cut their offers for Saudi buyers by $5-10/mt over the same period. Import quotations of South African seamless pipes have remained stable over the past month, while offers of Japanese material have moved down by a maximum of $20/mt. Buying activity in the market will likely decline in the coming month in line with shorter working hours during Ramadan, leading to a fall in seamless pipe consumption.

Most offers of Chinese seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM are being given to the Saudi Arabian market at $720-760/mt CFR.

Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes (Interpipe) of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to Saudi Arabia are at $1,020-1,040/mt CFR, while 8"-10" pipes are offered at around $1,035-1,060/mt CFR.

South African seamless pipes (ArcelorMittal), 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, are quoted at around $980-1,000/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.

Quotations from Japan (NSSMC) for seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are at about $1,425-1,455/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.
