Unfavorable conditions in foreign markets for seamless pipes continue to depress export prices of Russian and Ukrainian suppliers. Over the past month, most
CIS seamless
pipe exporters have cut their offers by $10-20/mt. Buyers from the
US and the Middle East are still showing some interest in
CIS seamless pipes, while in Europe business activity remains low.
Market players believe that Russian and Ukrainian seamless
pipe suppliers will try to keep their export price levels unchanged throughout summer, while overseas demand for standard seamless pipes is likely to decline in view of the approaching holiday season in Europe and due to Ramadan in the Middle East.
