Saudi Arabian seamless pipe market activity remains firm due to large-scale projects, and both domestic and import prices have mostly remained unchanged over the past month. However, offers of seamless pipes from Japan have decreased by around $100/mt over the period under review. Market participants believe seamless pipe purchases may decline in the short term period due to the seasonal lull in summer and the approach of Ramadan, when the market usually becomes fairly quiet.
Market traders report that local manufacturer Jubail Energy Services Company (JESCO) is offering 6"-12" seamless pipes of grade B made to API 5L to the domestic market at around $1,240-1,280/mt ex-works.
