US domestic ferromanganese trending up

On July 3, SteelOrbis reported limited spot trading of high carbon ferromanganese at $1,427-1,476/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh.

According to sources, the ferromanganese market continues to be marked by tight supply and strong demand, with prices now at $1,456-1,496/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh. Additionally, a source noted several recent transactions to mills in the East coast and Ohio Valley regions at $1,460-1,480/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh. The pricing is expected to remain strong into fourth quarter negotiations.
