Turkish mills’ domestic scrap purchase prices stable, with a few revisions

Friday, 22 September 2023 17:41:18 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Over the past week, Turkish mills’ local scrap procurement prices have mostly moved sideways, which has resulted in a $2/mt decrease on dollar basis due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. A few steel mills have increased their quotations by TRY 100-200/mt or $2-6/mt. The general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap is still at TRY 9,000-10,150/mt ($332-375/mt).
