Over the past two weeks, most Turkish mills have increased their domestic scrap procurement prices once again. Most Turkish producers have announced upward revisions in the range of TRY 100-500/mt. Despite the upward revision on Turkish lira basis, dollar-based prices have changed in a wide range from down $7/mt to up $10/mt. The dollar-based prices of the mills that kept their lira prices stable have moved down by $6-12/mt. Meanwhile, two mills have reduced their domestic scrap prices in this two-week period by TRY 50-250/mt or $12-20/mt.

The general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap is currently at TRY 7,900-9,950/mt ($293-367/mt), from 7,900-9,750/mt ($303-374/mt).
