Most Izmir-based Turkish steel producers have increased their ship scrap procurement prices by $10-13/mt since November 6, while one of them has kept its price stable. The general range is now at $350-370/mt from the range of $350-360/mt previously, for delivery to mill by truck. The upward movement of ship scrap prices is a reflection of the increases recorded in the deep and short sea segments.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:

Producer

Price ($/mt)

Price change ($/mt)

Özkan Demir Çelik

365

+10

Habaş

370

+10

Ege Çelik

370

+13

İDÇ

All the above prices are for delivery to mill by truck.
