Lebanese and Israeli scrap suppliers who mostly conclude sales to Turkey's Iskenderun region and from time to time to the country's Aegean region have increased their scrap offers to Turkey in parallel with the rises seen in deep sea scrap offers.

Last week, Lebanese and Israeli scrap offers to Turkey at $180/mt CFR failed to attract buyers' interest, but this week short sea scrap deals have been concluded in Turkey at $180/mt CFR Iskenderun. Currently, short sea scrap offers to Turkey are at $185/mt CFR Iskenderun. While buyers' purchase prices are not expected to increase to $185/mt CFR for the time being, they may rise slightly above $180/mt CFR.
