Brazilian steel producers are paying the equivalent to $19,700/mt for niobium ferroalloys, CFR, no taxes included, a source from a major slab producer told SteelOrbis.

The price compares to $19,500/mt charged one month ago by CBMM, the world’s largest producer on niobium ferroalloys, and reflects only the exchange rate variation during the period, the source said.

In February, CBMM exported the product in average at $21,251/mt, while the local arm of Anglo American exported it at $22,640/mt, both FOB conditions.
