Price of niobium ferroalloys increase in Brazil

The Brazilian slab producers are paying BRL 70,600/mt ($19,500/mt), CFR conditions, full taxes, for niobium ferroalloys in small ingots.

The price compares to $18,841/mt one month ago, under the same conditions.

In April, CBMM, the world’s largest producer, exported niobium ferroalloys at $21,734/mt, while the local arm of Anglo American exported the product at $20,861/mt, both FOB conditions, an increase from March of 3.6 percent in the case of CBMM, and a decline of 3.3 percent in the case of Anglo American.
