According to the latest figures provided by the German steel
scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of September this year domestic steel
scrap prices in
Germany recorded a decrease of €12/mt ($14/mt) on average compared to the corresponding period in the previous month, while in August a decline of €18/mt ($20/mt) had been recorded compared to July.
On year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of September this year German domestic
scrap prices indicated a more significant decrease of €78/mt ($87/mt) on average.
