According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of November this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany recorded very slight variations compared to the corresponding period in the previous month, whereas in October a decline of €34/mt (€37/mt) had been recorded compared to September.
On year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of October this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €81/mt ($87/mt) on average.
