Continuing the previous soft movement, local Italian scrap prices have decreased by €5/mt ($6/mt) on the lower side of the range and by €20/mt ($22/mt) on the upper end. The decrease appears to be in response to a decline in scrap prices in the Turkish market. During the coming week, Italian scrap prices may soften, but are unlikely to indicate a sharp drop.
Average spot prices in the local Italian scrap market are as follows:
Quality | Average spot price (€/mt) |
Turnings (E5) | 185-200 ($207-224/mt) |
HMS (E1/E3) | 210-220 ($235-246/mt) |
Shredded scrap (E40) | 220-235 ($246-263/mt) |
Busheling (E8) | 215-230 ($241-258/mt) |
Prices include delivery and exclude VAT.
