Local Italian scrap market continues its downward trend

The downtrend of the local Italian scrap market has continued in the current week. With slower production rates, demand for scrap in the market is still sluggish. Generally, domestic scrap prices have decreased by €15/mt. Market players are pessimistic about the future trend in the local Italian scrap market. As SteelOrbis reported today, June 1, no improvement or uptick is seen in the southern European longs market, which continues to record declines albeit with a small number of confirmed orders.
